Margaret is a former trial lawyer who worked at Vinson & Elkins in Dallas before joining the estate planning and probate section of the Benenati Law Firm. She has devoted her law practice to helping individuals and families craft personalized wealth transfer and protection plans, with an eye to minimizing estate and gift tax exposure. She also represents executors, trustees, and beneficiaries of estates and trusts that have a wide range of probate, trust, and estate administration needs.
Margaret’s greatest passion is developing long-term relationships with clients. Her goal is to be a compassionate and clear-eyed source of legal support during what often can be, in estate planning and probate matters, an emotional and stressful time.
Margaret earned her B.A. with highest honors in the Plan II Program at the University of Texas in 2001. She obtained her J.D. with honors in 2004 from the University of Texas School of Law. Following her time in law school, she earned a Masters of Arts degree in history at Southern Methodist University, where she conducted research on Native American child welfare law.
